Driving
Byron Bay is located 35 km north of Ballina. Travel north via the Pacific Highway until you reach the Byron Bay turnoff. There is a back road from Ballina that offers a scenic drive along the coast and brings you into Byron via Lennox Heads, avoiding possible traffic delays which may be experienced during peak periods. As Casa Corallo is located on the southern side of Byron Bay this can be a good option for those travelling northwards. Byron Bay is located 65 km south of Coolangatta. Travel via the Pacific Highway along scenic divided carriageway for the whole distance. Exit from the highway at Byron Bay turnoff, and travel directly into the town. .
Flying
There are two airports within close vicinity to Byron Bay. Ballina Airport is 25-30 minutes drive south of Byron Bay and handles domestic flights only. Coolangatta Airport is 40-50 minutes drive north of Byron Bay and handles both domestic and international flights. Both airports are connected to the town by shuttle buses, private taxis, public buses or hire cars.
Public Transport
Several bus companies connect Byron Bay with major cities like Sydney & Brisbane via the Pacific Highway route. Local buses travel throughout the region, connecting with Suffolk Park, Sunrise Beach, Ballina, Mullumbimby and Brunswick Heads.
